Taylor Swift Set to Present at the 2025 Grammy Awards
Taylor Swift has been confirmed to present at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. The late announcement was made by the Recording Academy on Thursday, as reported by Variety. All eyes will be on Swift, as her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, is in contention for six awards. Swift has already won 14 Grammy Awards, including a record four wins for Album of the Year with Fearless (2010), 1989 (2016), Folklore (2021), and Midnights (2024).
This year’s 67th Annual Grammy Awards will have a "renewed sense of purpose," focusing on raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect others, according to an announcement.
“It’s not going to be a typical Grammy party atmosphere,” said Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, as reported by The Guardian. “It’s not just that ‘the show must go on’—the show must provide a greater service. Of course, we’ll honor music, but our goal is to use music to make a difference.”
In the days leading up to the Grammys, record labels typically host high-profile parties, but most of them have been canceled this year due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. With at least 29 lives lost and thousands of buildings destroyed, the focus has shifted to donating funds to help those in need.
“We have some great things in the show that will definitely help raise funds,” Mason added. “It will honor some of the heroes who have been protecting our lives and homes. It will hopefully shine a light on those who need more help and services.”
The 2025 Grammy nominations highlight a year dominated by female artists, with Beyoncé leading the pack with 11 nominations for her album Cowboy Carter and its standout singles. She and Swift are among five women who have secured nominations in all three of the Grammys' top general categories—Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Joining them are Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
